    Canon EOS R50

    Canon just announced a new entry level mirrorless camera. It looks like this is yet another model of camera that has eliminated wired remote shutter control. Plus it uses the new Canon Multi-function accessory shoe and would require a Canon AD-E1 adapter to utilize other flashes.

    It seems we will be sticking with the older cameras for now, until someone finds a workaround.
