Hole saws vs Len Filter sizes

A few questions.

The camera enclosure has been ordered. I have yet to purchase a lens filter to act as a window and a hole saw to cut the enclosure. I

Well that’s strange, only posted a fraction of what was typed.

I’ll try again. In the process of ordering a lens filter for the camera enclosure and a hole saw to cut the hole. Wondering if I’m better off with a slightly larger hole than filter and glue/silicone the filter in place or conversely a slightly smaller hole and hand sand/file to obtain a friction fit?

Adhesive/silicone to mount the filter? Any preference?

Once completed this will be set up in Black Bear county so strength and durability are a concern. I realize it will never be 100% Bear proof but hoping it could withstand the mildly curious bruins.
