    Porcupine Den and Resident Porcupine

    Hello all,

I found this active porcupine den a couple years ago which is only active during the winter months. Previous years have been too snowy for the den to be a camera trap option, but so far this year up in North-Cental Minnesota, we surprisingly have no measurable snow. This set has been out for only about two weeks and the porcupine has gotten used to the equipment already and is showing up almost daily at this point!

I'm using a cognisys scout box with a Canon 6D in the housing, 2 cognisys flashes, and a PIR sensor.

(Not sure why the picture is fuzzy, if anyone can let me know what export file and settings work best, I'd gladly post the photo again!)

Nicely done! They are such unusual mammals. Good luck with getting more images from the set up.
