Back in the game and it feels great

We all know what highs and lows come our way with camera trapping. Back in November 2020, for me, took me to my highest and my lowest point, all within the space of a few days.
The high point came from the news that my image of a fox captured with my camera trap had achieved a PAGB bronze medal in an international photography competition I had entered.
Then, literally a few days later, I went to check up on my camera trap I had set out just 2 days before, only to find it had all been stolen including a trail camera set up nearby to watch over my gear. To say i was devastated was an understatement.
For a couple of months my camera trapping was over as far as I was concerned and i had no desire to replace all the gear that had been stolen. However, the addiction of camera trapping runs deep and after seeing a nikon SB28 for a reasonable price on Ebay, i hit the "Buy it now" button and I was back on the road.
Over the next few weeks I had replaced all my kit and last week set it up for the first time to hopefully capture some activity from my local badgers. It feels so good to be back at it again with the same enthusiasm I had lost back in November.
Here is my favorite image from the week. It was a 3 light set up with 2 SB28's to left and right of camera and an SB25 to the rear left of the subject as a rim light. I think the Scarlet elf cup fungus really adds to the image. Hope you like it.
