Good-looking shots. This is an interesting field of view. Just out of curiosity, what lens are you using? Just followed you in flickr.
Interesting idea. Any idea if you could fit a Camtraptions trigger-enabled Nikon SB in there?
That is a great collection of critters from your set.
Great shot. I think camera traps light with strobes during falling snow make some of the more interesting images.
Wow, very nice. I'm continually working on a raptor set. Very different than a set for mammals.
Beavers, like many mammals, communicate with chemical signals. In scent marking, beavers actually build a mound of mud on which to place their scent. ... The beaver straddles this pile of mud and...
I have had the hardest time capturing images of a beaver. Only after spending the past few weeks learning about their environment and extensive use of trail cameras, I think I got the image I...
Let me guess... he took off after the first shot and hasn't been seen since? Once I light up a coyote I never see him again. Central Massachusetts for reference, I understand coyotes act...
We have spent the past couple of months tracking and photographing high-resolution images of the local bobcat population. This 'Behind the Scenes' (BTS) video gives a glimpse into our camera trapping...
Thanks Jeff, very helpful. Today I learned to also check the settings of the trailmaster unit before making cables. In any event, I have new cables and default settings.
bobcats are completely unaffected by strobes or IR sensors. Unlike coyote and fox.
I installed an arlo in the backyard facing my house so I could tell if there any wildlife active when I let my dogs out at night. 4:15 a.m., the local pack passes through. The light iight in the...
Notice how the bobcat checks herself out in the reflection of the dslr camera. Typical cat.
This was a pretty cool experience because the arlo txted me at around 7:00 a.m. and I got out of bed...
Anbd here in north central massachusetts
In the never-ending quest to find better triggers, for now I've setteled on camtraptions with the modified battery pack. I can easily get 4 weeks out of them. I have had a couple of failures, but...
Does anybody have the pinouts for making your own cables for the Trailmaster and Canon cameras with the N3 connector? My standard cables I use for all my other systems is not working.
It doesn't fix your problem, but all of my strobe problems went away when I started using wireless triggers.
Looks like a wireless trail camera to get real-time information on what ios happening at the site. Must have been tough to watch with the water rising.
I'm in Mass, had my first deer tick crawling up my arm yesterday.

I'be been thinking about using a second dslr camera in some of my rigs. I hadn't thought to do it this way. Great idea
After the local paper ran an article featuring one of my images of a coyote, I had a lot of questions about how I capture high-resolution images of the local wildlife. This behind the scenes (BTS)...
Hey Jeff,
Great to have a dedicated forum for us camera trappers. Since we are such a niche market, did you consider making just one main forum for everything camera trapping? Sub forums tend to...
Is this the v2 or wireless v3 version?
