Hello all!

I am looking to build a long-term Timelapse setup to document seasonal changes in ephemeral pools and wetlands here in northern Minnesota. I have a Nikon D3300 which I am planning on using for this setup. The only problem is I am having trouble finding a trustworthy dummy battery for an EN-EL14 battery. I also have very limited experience with wiring and electronics, so anybody with tips on connecting the dummy battery to a 12v car battery, please help me out!

Thanks!

You would need a EP-5A from Nikon and flibbleflange a connector to a 12V battery.

You might check out this website. It looks like they have the long term timelapse figured out. Maybe they will share some info. platteBasintimelapse.com

Have you considered checking platteBasintimelapse.com for information on long-term timelapse setups, as they seem to have experience in this area?
